Elite Dance Centre offers a holiday show and a spring recital. Students must purchase the mandatory costume for each class.
All students ages 9 & up must remain backstage for the entire show. Young dancers must stay with thier parent for the show. For the safety of your child, no students are allowed to leave during the show or intermission. Parents are only allowed to go backstage and pick up their child once the show has finished. Please see a Recital Info sheet for additional details (available in April)
A costume payment for each class costume is due in December. As a reminder, our newsletter will be emailed with all of the costume information you need.
A mandatory dress rehearsal for the recital will be held a before spring show, this gives your child the opportunity to practice their dance on stage, in costume. Their is not dress rehearsal for the holiday show.
All performers (regardless of age or in which act they perform in) must be at the theater 30 minutes prior to the start of the show. A Show Order form will be distributed which will show when your dancer is scheduled in his/her show. Dancers MUST report their attendance upon arrival.
Dancers – After reporting your attendance to our Parent Volunteers, you will be asked to walk your child to dressing room. We ask that only one parent will be permitted to quickly drop off their child. The longer you stay backstage, the longer it will take for you to get into the theater. At the end of the show, you must come backstage to pick up your child. All dancers age 8 and under can stay in the audience with a parent and come backstage 5 dances before their dance.
IMPORTANT: Unless you must leave, we ask that you stay for the remainder of the show. All students worked equally as hard to present their talents to you on this day. Please keep in mind that we do a finale at the end of each show and all dancers are involved.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 year olds – Our tiniest dancers are the only classes that will be permitted to stay with parents during the duration of the show. They will be released from the dressing room back into the auditorium after their performance on stage.
A professional photographer will be at the studio to take an individual and class picture(s) of your child in each of their costume(s). All dates and information will be emailed to you.
